Newspapers seem to be a dying industry lately. Ad revenues are low, and people like to get their news from the web, where ad revenues are even lower. People are also busier and the number of people who actually read the news is declining as well.
USA Today gets it.
They allow you to share articles via Text, Facebook, Twitter, and E-Mail straight from your phone. This is huge. You are more likely to read a tidbit passed on from your friends or family, GUARANTEED. What better medium to share information than social networks (Text, FB, Twitter, and E-Mail are ALL social networks). The entire business model for newspapers is to attain mass audience. Word of mouth is the most viral way to spread news and USA Today gets it.
